Our story
Meet the founder of Find My Hotel
I’ve spent more than twenty years in hospitality and travel, visiting over 50 countries and 120 cities and staying in everything from luxury hotels to boutique spots and great-value finds. But what shaped my real understanding of hotels was working at some of the best.
Over the past 20 years, I have learned that every hotel has a unique story and distinct character, ideally suited to a particular type of traveller. Selecting the right hotel can elevate a trip from ordinary to extraordinary. This platform shares my expertise through curated recommendations that go beyond algorithms and marketing influences. Choosing the right hotel requires more than ratings; it needs context, purpose, and the desired experience.
Many travellers spend hours searching through endless options and still aren’t sure what to pick. I wanted to change that. I left my old job to build a platform grounded in real experience and a genuine desire to help people find the right hotel. That’s how Find My Hotel began.

How we select hotels
Not every hotel makes it on Find My Hotel. We don’t list hundreds of choices; we pick the best ones. Our hotel experts carefully select each property, drawing on real hospitality experience and a strong sense of what makes a stay memorable. We don’t let advertising budgets or commissions influence us. If a hotel is on our site, it’s because we truly believe it deserves our recommendation.

We begin with what matters most: location, overall experience, and consistency. A great hotel isn’t just about beautiful design or five-star branding. It’s about how it feels to stay there, from the moment you arrive to when you leave.
We analyse guest feedback across multiple trusted platforms, looking beyond headline ratings to identify patterns. We focus on what travellers consistently say about service, comfort, cleanliness, and the details that make the biggest difference.
But we don’t stop there. Our selections are guided by context and purpose. The best hotel for a family trip is not the same as for a romantic escape, a business stay, or a weekend with friends. Every recommendation by our hotel experts is made with a clear traveller in mind.
We also believe in honesty over hype. If a hotel is popular but doesn’t consistently meet our standards, it doesn’t make the list. We highlight exceptional value where it genuinely exists, not as a default, but where it truly stands out.
