The 4 best hotels in the Museum Quarter, Amsterdam
The Museum Quarter is Amsterdam at its most elegant. Museumplein is home to the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum, and the Stedelijk, three world-class collections within minutes of each other. The famous concert hall Concertgebouw stands at one end, and the designer boutiques of P.C. Hooftstraat are just around the corner.
We kept this collection deliberately small, choosing only the hotels that do this graceful neighbourhood justice. Our picks include stylish townhouse hotels on quiet, leafy streets, a fashion-inspired boutique and a modern hotel overlooking the canal. Several are a short stroll from the Vondelpark, perfect for a morning walk before the museums open.
Book museum tickets online before you go, as time slots fill quickly. Art lovers won't find a better place to stay in Amsterdam.
