Dubai doesn't do luxury by halves. Here, butlers are on call day and night, villas come with their own pools, and Michelin-starred chefs cook steps away.
This is our most exclusive list, reserved for the very best the city has to offer. An island retreat on Bluewaters, an Andalusian palace on the Palm, a desert resort among the dunes, a fire-and-water spectacle on the Palm's crescent and a Parisian-designed hotel facing the Burj Khalifa: each delivers a stay you won't find anywhere else. Several sit on private Gulf beaches. Service is intuitive, design is unforgettable, and nothing is left to chance.
Island calm in the heart of the action: 500 metres of private sand on Bluewaters, Ain Dubai on the skyline, a celebrated spa and some of Dubai's most exciting dining.

Island Calm on Bluewaters
Bluewaters Island offers a rare sense of escape on Dubai's coastline. The resort fronts 500 metres of private beach facing the Arabian Gulf, while Ain Dubai is a ten-minute stroll away along the island's waterfront promenade. JBR and Dubai Marina are just across the bridge, and the nearest tram stops are on the JBR side, a short taxi hop away.
Natural Materials, Asian Flair
Banyan Tree brings its signature Asian hospitality to Dubai, pairing natural materials with contemporary design. Lush gardens and three pools lead down to the sand, and a free daily programme of beach wellbeing activities sets an easy, restorative rhythm.
Generous Rooms with Organic Warmth
The Bliss Guestrooms alone measure 54 square metres, finished in natural materials with a contemporary Asian touch, and each opens onto a private balcony. The Oceanfront suites take things further, with spacious living areas and the Gulf stretching out beyond the windows.
From the Riviera to Tokyo
Dining is a highlight. A beachfront French restaurant serves Riviera-style sharing plates, celebrity chef Alvin Leung gives Chinese and Pan-Asian classics a creative twist, and an intimate omakase counter showcases the finest sushi and A5 Kobe beef. A contemporary Japanese tea house serves afternoon tea, while the pool and beach bar handles lazy lunches.
A Rainforest Experience by the Sea
Banyan Tree Spa blends Asian healing traditions with modern luxury. Its Rainforest Experience is a private hydrothermal journey through steam rooms, saunas, themed showers and jets. The signature Royal Banyan combines Eastern and Western massage with a warm herbal pouch and a jade facial.

Gateway to the Sun
Bab Al Shams means Gateway to the Sun, and it lives up to its name. Set among desert palms and golden dunes, about 26 miles from the city centre, it feels a world away from Dubai's skyscrapers. This is the place to swap traffic for silence, with sunsets over the sand and nights beneath a sky full of stars. A car or taxi is the easiest way to reach the Al Qudra desert.
Arabian Flair and Desert Adventures
Modern design meets Arabian flair, with Moorish-inspired rooms and palm-shaded courtyards. But the real magic lies beyond the walls, and few resorts bring the desert to life quite like this one. Start with complimentary camel rides and a falcon show, then go further: take 4x4 drives to spot Arabian oryx, sandboard down the dunes, stargaze in a desert majlis, or float over the sands at sunrise in a hot-air balloon.
Desert Pool Villas and Family Suites
Rooms are beautifully crafted, with cosy window-side nooks, spacious bathrooms and a refreshment station, while the suites add lounge areas and serene outdoor spaces. The showstoppers are the one- and two-bedroom Desert Pool Villas, each with a private pool, a kitchenette, and a terrace overlooking the dunes. Family rooms, two-bedroom family suites and a kids' club make it easy to travel together.
Feasts Under the Stars
Dinner at Al Hadheerah is a spectacle in itself, an open-air feast of Middle Eastern cuisine with live performances. Up on the roof, Anwā pairs crafted cocktails and Pan-Asian dishes with glowing desert sunsets. Meanwhile, Zala serves Mediterranean flavours from breakfast to dinner, and Ninive Bab Al Shams adds a sophisticated Oriental touch.
Hammam Rituals and a Desert Oasis
The spa draws on ancient healing traditions, offering restorative hammam journeys with mineral-rich ingredients from Maison d'Asa, plus facial and body treatments featuring sustainably sourced natural products. Between treatments, the spa's private outdoor pool offers a serene swim with views across the golden desert.

Riviera Calm on the West Crescent
Out on the Palm's West Crescent, the city's noise falls away. That's exactly the point. A secluded private beach faces the glittering towers of Dubai Marina across the water. The resort's own marina sits alongside, and a water taxi glides across to sister resort One&Only Royal Mirage. When you want the city, the Marina is a 20-minute drive away, and Downtown is about half an hour away.
Andalusian Palaces by the Sea
Step inside and you could be in southern Spain. Inspired by the Moorish palaces of Andalusia, the resort unfolds through elegant architecture, lush gardens and palm-shaded terraces. The hotel calls itself Dubai's most intimate seaside resort, and it lives up to the billing: calm, unhurried and wonderfully private.
Balconies, Sea Views and Private Pools
Space is the first luxury here: the Manor House rooms stretch to 65 square metres, and every room opens onto its own balcony. Many overlook the sea, and many include a private pool. For the ultimate escape, the two- and three-bedroom Beachfront Villas add a private pool, a sea-view balcony and the sand steps away.
Two Michelin Stars and a Lounge on the Water
Dinner here is an occasion. STAY by Yannick Alléno holds two Michelin stars for its ever-evolving French menu, while a seafood lounge perched over the water by the private marina pairs afternoon tea with impressive views. The all-day restaurant travels from the Mediterranean to the Middle East and Asia, and at the Pastry Library, guests can play pastry chef and create their own desserts.
Guerlain Spa in the Gardens
Tucked away in the gardens, the Guerlain Spa is a world of its own, with its own pool, private treatment suites and rituals created exclusively for the resort. Bastien Gonzalez's nail studio and Alexandre Zouari's hair salon add finishing touches, plus a Technogym fitness centre for those who can't skip a workout.

The Palm's Boldest Statement
Atlantis The Royal rises from the Palm's crescent beside its famous sister. Its stacked towers and sky bridges form one of Dubai's most striking silhouettes. The resort is designed so you never need to leave, but the city is within reach. Complimentary shuttles link it to Atlantis, The Palm. Taxis reach Dubai Marina in about 20 minutes, and Downtown in around half an hour.
Fire, Water and Endless Energy
This resort never sits still. At its heart, the Skyblaze Fountain sends fire and water 28 metres into the air, while DJs set the mood from the pools to the restaurants. Every stay includes unlimited access to Aquaventure, the world's largest waterpark, and the Lost World Aquarium, plus breakfast at the lavish Gastronomy buffet every morning.
Balconies, Sky Suites and Private Pools
Every room opens onto a balcony, and at 55 square metres there's space to spare, with views across the Palm or the open sea. The suites are exceptional: Sky Terrace Suites with sweeping sea-view terraces, Sky Pool Villas with private pools, the Sunscape Penthouse with an infinity-edge pool overlooking the Palm, and the vast Panoramic Penthouse, complete with a glass-walled pool. Families are well catered for, with family rooms, multi-bedroom suites sleeping up to eight, interconnecting rooms and a complimentary kids' club.
A Line-Up of Global Star Chefs
With eight celebrity chef restaurants, dining here is a world tour. Dinner by Heston Blumenthal holds a Michelin star, Nobu brings its signature style to the beach, and Estiatorio Milos overlooks the Skyblaze Fountain. La Mar, Ariana's Persian Kitchen and Ling Ling, with its sky-high lounge, complete a line-up that flows effortlessly from dinner into late-night drinks.
A Pool for Every Mood
There's a pool for every mood here. The Royal Pool is the resort's sunny centrepiece, Nobu by the Beach adds a grown-up pool by the sand, and high above it all, Cloud 22 is the adults-only rooftopinfinity pool. AWAKEN Spa takes wellness to new heights with its Elements Retreat, featuring a halotherapy salt cave, a hydrotherapy pool, a snow fountain, and a charcoal sauna for guests who book a treatment.

Marina Calm, Burj Views
Most Downtown hotels put you in the thick of the crowds. The Lana takes a smarter route. It sits on the quiet marina at Marasi Bay in Business Bay, with the Burj Khalifa rising across the water. Mornings begin with coffee on The Lana Promenade, and evenings end with the skyline lighting up. Yet the big sights are never far away. Dubai Mall is about ten minutes by car, and the airport is about 20 minutes away.
Quiet Luxury, Parisian Style
This is luxury that doesn't need to shout. Parisian designers Gilles & Boissier have blended traditional craft with contemporary flair, letting space and light do the talking, and an art collection runs through the hotel. From the moment you step into the lobby, it feels polished and assured, very much in the Dorchester Collection mould.
Skyline Rooms with Room to Breathe
Rooms here are designed around the view. Every one has a private balcony and floor-to-ceiling windows framing Downtown, the marina, or the desert stretching to the horizon, and the smallest measure is a generous 56 square metres, balcony included. Cool stone parquet and Bang & Olufsen sound set the tone, while the duplex suites, with double-height living rooms and terraces on both levels, feel more like private residences.
A Table with the Stars
The Lana has gathered one of the city's most impressive lineups of chefs. Basque legend Martín Berasategui, holder of 12 Michelin stars, brings his homeland's fire to Jara. Meanwhile, Jean Imbert takes diners on a sun-soaked tour of the French and Italian rivieras at Riviera. Come sunset, head up to High Society, the rooftop bar with 360-degree views, where the Burj Khalifa takes centre stage and cocktails turn into dancing after dark.
Dior Spa and a Pool in the Sky
The only Dior Spa in Dubai, and the first in the Middle East, brings Parisian beauty savoir-faire to the hotel, with treatments built around the Dior Prestige range and the signature Escale ritual, a Japanese-inspired head-to-toe massage. Afterwards, slip into the rooftop infinity pool, where Downtown spreads out below, and the Burj Khalifa fills the horizon.
