Bankerhan stands on a quiet side street between Karaköy and Galata, one of the city's most rewarding corners to explore on foot. Galata Tower is about a five-minute uphill walk away, and the area is surrounded by cafés, boutiques, and wine bars, with the celebrated Nardis Jazz Club nearby. The Karaköy tram stop and ferry piers are a few minutes downhill, and Istiklal Avenue is easy to reach.
Grown-Up Calm in a Historic Building
Set in a historic building and open to adults only, Bankerhan has a calm, grown-up atmosphere despite being moments from some of Istanbul's liveliest streets. Exposed brick walls, original artworks and a stylish, modern look give the interiors plenty of personality.
Individually Decorated Rooms
Rooms are individually decorated, mixing exposed brick, original art and contemporary furnishings. Every room has city views; some have terraces, and the best lookout overlooks the Golden Horn. One room is styled in a Japanese manner, with a large, comfortable bed.
Breakfast & Coffee
A homemade buffet breakfast is served each morning, with fresh pastries and Turkish favourites, and the coffee shop is open during the day for drinks and light bites.
