Hotel Des Arts stands on Küçük Hendek Street, about 50 metres from Galata Tower, in the heart of one of Istanbul's most atmospheric neighbourhoods. Cobbled lanes around it are full of independent boutiques, design shops, cafés, and wine bars, and Istiklal Avenue is a short uphill walk away. Karaköy's waterfront and the Galata Bridge to the Old City are just downhill.
A 1903 Building Full of Stories
The hotel occupies a carefully restored 1903 building. Each room reflects a different period and tells its own story; artists' exhibitions add to the atmosphere, and you can purchase many decorative pieces throughout the hotel.
Individually Styled Rooms
Rooms are individually furnished, with a warm, nostalgic character, vintage details and comfortable beds. The best have balconies facing Galata Tower, and you can request them.
Breakfast Facing the Tower
Breakfast is served at a partner café just across the street, with Turkish and continental options and Galata Tower right in front of you. On a warm morning, sitting outside with a glass of çay is a lovely way to begin the day.
