Kensington feels like a grand, gracious village in the middle of London. White stucco townhouses line its quiet streets, and Kensington Palace and its gardens sit at the neighbourhood's edge. The Royal Albert Hall stands just across the road from the gardens.
The best hotels in Kensington, London reflect that refined, residential character. The choice ranges from classic luxury with park views to stylish townhouse hotels with a more relaxed feel and good-value rates.
It's the neighbourhood I suggest to anyone who loves museums. The Victoria and Albert Museum, the Natural History Museum and the Science Museum are all close by, so you can easily see two in a day. Kensington High Street is ideal for shopping, and Knightsbridge and Harrods are a short ride away.

Grand English Style
The Milestone occupies a handsome Grade II-listed Victorian building filled with antiques, original art, rich fabrics and plenty of colour. There is nothing understated about it. This is old-school London luxury, with highly personal service and a real sense of occasion.
Rooms Full of Character
Every room has its own personality, with bold fabrics, antique furniture and marble bathrooms. The suites take it further, with some wonderfully theatrical interiors and much more generous living space. If you enjoy hotels where rooms feel individual rather than uniform, The Milestone does so beautifully.
Pool, Spa & Gym
The Wellness Club features a resistance pool, gym and treatment rooms, providing a quiet place to unwind after a day in London. The pool is intimate, and you can also arrange spa treatments in the privacy of your room.
British Dining & a Classic Hotel Bar

A Hotel That’s Also a Gallery
Eight constantly changing exhibition spaces mean the art is as alive as the neighbourhood. It's a refreshing alternative to London's more traditional boutique hotels.

Although room sizes vary, they provide a comfortable base for exploring the city.

Smart & Contemporary
Behind the period façade, the look is much more contemporary. Interiors are polished and understated, with high ceilings and original architectural details that add character. It feels smart without being overly formal.
Modern Rooms
Rooms are clean, lined and contemporary, with wooden floors and large windows in many categories. The entry rooms are fairly compact, so we'd recommend the Townhouse Executive or Deluxe Executive if you want more space.
Q Bistro & Bar
Q Bistro serves British and international dishes in a relaxed setting, while the bar has an outdoor terrace for drinks in warmer weather. There is also a fitness room if you want to fit in a workout.
